Dunkirk Review

I saw ‘DUNKIRK’ (written and directed by Christopher Nolan) this past weekend and must say, in my humble opinion, it clearly stands among the greatest war epics of all time.

The film depicts the harrowing 1940 seaborne evacuation of almost 340,000 British and French troops from Dunkirk, France while surrounded by closing German ground forces and being hammered by the Luftwaffe and Kriegsmarine, The visuals, sound effects, soundtrack and attention to detail (Hans Zimmer) were absolutely amazing and the impending sense of doom was nearly constant throughout its 106 minute duration.
